Logistics Company Makes Another Acquisition Rick LaGore is CEO of R² Freight and Logistics.

Indianapolis-based R² Freight & Logistics Inc. has announced the acquisition of Carmel-based enVista LLC’s capacity solutions brokerage division. Financial terms were not disclosed, however R² Chief Executive Officer Rick LaGore says the deal will nearly double its employee count.

LaGore adds, due to the acquisition, the company expects to double the number of employees again over the next 18 to 24 months. John Stitz, senior managing partner of enVista, says R² has created an environment for growth and success for the employees and customers of the capacity solutions brokerage division.

"We are committed to grow the business through increased service offerings, technology and a dynamic team of experts and the addition of Capacity Solutions hits all three areas out of the park for us," said Shelli Austin, president of R². "The addition of the Capacity Solutions Brokerage division is the perfect complement to the R² Freight & Logistics domestic intermodal division giving us breadth and depth of services across domestic intermodal, truckload, LTL, flatbed and expedited services, whether standard dry, temp controlled or haz-mat."

Earlier this month, enVista announced it was relocating its Carmel headquarters and adding more than two dozen jobs. The deal comes nearly two months after R² acquired the transportation services division of Plainfield-based Integrated Distribution Services Inc.

It is a startling fact that an estimated 7,800 youth experience homelessness in our city every year. These aren't just statistics; they represent the lives of young people, each with a story, a dream, and the potential to thrive if given the opportunity. The shock factor lies in the magnitude of this issue – the magnitude of despair, isolation, and uncertainty that thousands of our city's youth grapple with daily....
