It is the third facility in the Purdue Research Park network, and the sixth site throughout the state, to receive the certification for high-speed Internet connectivity.
AT&T says because of the designation, the facility has committed to providing high-speed connectivity to an Internet provider of a client’s choice at no cost for the first three years of that client’s lease at the center.
“We recognize the importance of a strong technology infrastructure for startups and well-established organizations that are based in or planning to locate in Merrillville," said Dan Hasler, president and chief entrepreneurial officer for the Purdue Research Foundation. "Becoming officially certified and adding AT&T to our list of fiber connectivity options will make the site even more attractive to potential prospects looking for a top-level location to create and grow their businesses."
The facility houses 25 on-site companies and 30 more co-space businesses. In May, the Purdue Research Park of Southeast Indiana received the designation, followed by the Lebanon Business Park in July.
