True Rx Health Strategists has announced changes among the top leadership of the Washington, Indiana-based pharmacy benefit manager.
Chief Strategy Officer Adrienne Williams LaBorwit will replace Mark Williams as CEO, while Williams moves to a new role as founder and chairman, the company said this week.
Chief Operating Officer Jesse McDonald will assume the newly created role of president.
LaBorwit represents the fifth generation in the family-owned pharmacy business. In addition to chief strategy officer, other leadership roles she has held since joining the company in 2018 include director of business development and vice president of strategic initiatives. She holds a master’s in arts in education and human development from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s in psychology and business from Indiana University.
“Adrienne’s leadership has propelled True Rx Health Strategists forward at a pivotal time for our industry,” Williams said in a news release. “Under her direction, we’ve seen measurable improvements in health outcomes and a sharper commitment to delivering pharmacy benefits that put people first.”
McDonald, a trained pharmacist and founding team member, will continue to help build the company in his new role as president and focus on areas such as clinical strategy and cost savings for clients, the release said.
“This thoughtful evolution of our leadership team positions True Rx to sustain momentum and keep patient care at the center of everything we do,” LaBorwit said in the release.
Earlier this year the Indiana Chamber of Commerce honored True Rx Health Strategists as one of the best places to work in Indiana, Inside INdiana Business reported.
