When the first shots were fired upon Fort Sumter in 1861, Hoosiers were the first western state to mobilize troops to fight for the Union cause. Fifteen percent of Indiana’s population served in the Civil War, one of the highest percentages of population to serve of any state.
When the fate of our country was in peril, Hoosiers did not hesitate to answer the call. Fast forward to 2025, and the future of our country is again at risk. We must personify the initiative that the early Hoosiers did and lead in the fight for the next generation.
We are already witnessing today’s fight escalating into political assassinations that are not being condemned by our political foes. Passing policy that will keep more of these morally corrupt people out of office should not even be a debate. We have reached a point in the American story where one side is pushing for a God-less, gender-less, law-less society and the other is fighting for American Judeo-Christian values, American hegemony, and the restoration of the American dream. Looking at the results of past elections, it is clear which side of the equation Hoosiers fall on.
The idea that both sides will follow the same set of rules to get their policies enacted and their preferred candidates into office is not based in reality. The Left is weaponizing government against conservatives, and Indiana Senate Republicans are still threatening to vote against redistricting under the guise of political politeness. It’s time for us to drop the gloves. Conservatives across the country are looking to our state to fight for all of them and ensure we will keep the majority come 2026. For decades, Democrats have done everything in their power to silence conservatives in their states. They have proven they will use every tool available to gain and keep control of government. There are multiple examples of this.
To see this in action, look no further than our neighbor, Illinois. Forty-four percent of the state voted for President Trump in 2024 yet there are only 3 Republicans of the 17 congressional seats in the state. If you look at their map compared to Indiana, you can see the clear difference between their prioritization of politics over accurate regional congressional lines. Yet still, to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, the map is not tilted towards Democrats enough. Just last month he urged the state to make an even more partisan map. You can also see this tactic deployed in New England, as the 6 states to the northeast of New York state have zero Republican representation in the House of Representatives.
This is amplified when you realize these same Democrat states have sanctuary city ordinances that allow illegal aliens to roam free. Once those here are counted in the census, blue states will pull congressional seats from red states, and you can bet they will follow the lead of Illinois and New England when it comes to drawing new maps and they will silence Republicans.
To be clear, this redistricting push is more than an answer to Gavin Newsom’s Prop 50 in California, Abigail Spanberger’s support for redrawing Virginia to add more blue, and Wes Moore’s attempt to silence House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Harris. A new Indiana map is an answer to decades of unethical political tactics by Democrats to rig the vote instead of winning it.
Indiana State Senators and Rod Bray need to take a hard look in the mirror and realize what their vote against new maps will do to the fabric of our country. They are quite literally handing the future to Radical Socialists and their policies. The consequences cannot be overstated. They will be forcing their children to grow up in a world where critical race theory replaces the three R’s, a world where schizophrenics with a nearly two-decade history of violence are free to commit murder on public transportation rather than being incarcerated, and a world where boys will walk freely into our daughters’ locker rooms. That is the direction our country will turn if Indiana Senators fail to vote in favor of redistricting. They are the only ones who can mold the future trajectory of our nation. If they decide to continue to be obstructionists while the clock is running out, the blame will be squarely on them for their failure to support conservatives.
The Democrats clearly have made their decision to trample us by any means necessary. We can either roll over or take a stand, and I know which side President Trump, Governor Braun, and I are on. Just like the Hoosiers who went to battle in the 1800s to defend their vision for America, it is now our time to preserve our America and fight back against the Democratic Socialist takeover.
