Tourism and marketing agency Explore Evansville has named its next leader.
Tom White will join the organization March 3 as president and CEO from Visit Mobile (Alabama), where he served as vice president of convention and leisure sales.
Explore Evansville says White will lead the organization in driving economic growth, increasing visitation and positioning the city as a premier destination for conventions, meetings and leisure travel.
“Evansville has incredible potential as a destination, and I look forward to working with our team, local partners, and stakeholders to elevate the city’s tourism industry and create meaningful economic impact,” White said in a news release.
White has 30 years of industry experience and serves on tourism boards at the state and national levels.
Former president and CEO Alexis Berggren left last year after more than seven years with the organization.
Evansville will host a Professional Pickleball Association Challenger Series event in September
