Children’s Hospital to Support Conner Prairie

Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis will serve as the presenting sponsor of several initiatives at Conner Prairie in Fishers. The interactive history park says the hospital’s involvement will include financial support for one year along with opportunities to interact with visitors.
The hospital will be the presenting sponsor of the Treetop Outpost, the outdoor nature exhibit which opened last July, as well as the park’s series of summer day camps and the popular Headless Horseman event in the fall. Conner Prairie says it has collaborated with the hospital on a guide for parents promoting the importance of being active in nature.
"At St. Vincent, we recognize that it takes a team working together to improve the health of a community," said Hossain Marandi, president of Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. "With support from residents and local partners like Conner Prairie, our dedicated and experienced staff will continue to lead individuals and families to better health in the communities we serve."
The hospital will also offer free tips to summer day camp participants on healthy activities and recipes. Norman Burns, chief executive officer of Conner Prairie says the relationship shows how collaboration between corporations and nonprofits can help to improve the health, education and well-being of people in the community.
