AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T) has certified Alexandria Park in Madison County as AT&T Fiber Ready. The business park, which was designated as "shovel ready" in February, is the seventh site in Indiana to receive the certification.
AT&T Indiana President Bill Soards says the certification signifying the park’s fiber infrastructure will help local businesses and drive job creation. Alexandria Park consists of nearly 460 acres of land that can be developed for corporate campus and manufacturing operations.
"As we work to grow jobs, increase economic diversity and strengthen our employer base, the availability of high-speed internet is key," Rob Sparks, executive director of Madison County Corp. for Economic Development. "Being AT&T Fiber Ready will help attract a variety of businesses to this outstanding shovel-ready site."
Alexandria Park joins sites, such as Lebanon Business Park and Purdue Research Park of Southeast Indiana as fiber ready sites. Last week, AT&T announced it has launched its Business Fiber services in central Indiana as well.
