The company first announced the $2.25 million deal with Michigan-based Champion Home Builders Inc. last month.
In a notice to the Texas Workforce Commission, Skyline said 105 employees would be affected by the sale of the 79,000 square-foot facility. However, the company did not state if those employees would be offered positions with Champion Home Builders.
Skyline has also announced plans last month to suspend operations at its Elkhart manufacturing plant, less than one year after it opened. The company said a majority of jobs at the plant would be cut.
Skyline Chief Executive Officer Richard Florea said in the company’s fiscal third quarter earnings report the closure of the two underperforming facilities will allow the company to focus on improving profitability. Skyline reported a net loss of $2.4 million in the quarter.
