Theresa Wells-Ditton – Coordinating TV Producer
Theresa is the coordinating television producer of Inside Indiana Business with Gerry Dick. She began her career at Grow INdiana Media Ventures in March of 2019. Theresa also oversees our BigWigs & New Gigs e-Newsletter. Prior to joining IIB, she was the director of planning and politics for WTHR-TV in Indianapolis. Theresa spent most of her career there most recently leading coverage of daily news gathering, politics and big events, such as Indianapolis 500 Race Day Morning coverage, Super Bowls XLI, XLIV and XLVI and election night coverage.

1. Where can we find you when you’re not working? |
Outside. When the weather is warm I like working in the yard or enjoying the outdoors either hiking, golfing or relaxing by the pool. When the weather isn’t so warm, I enjoy coaching CYO Girls Basketball and doing home improvement projects around the house. |

2. If you weren’t doing what you do today, what other job would you have? |
Ever since I was a youngster, my dream was to work in journalism, specifically television. But, if that dream had not come true, I think I would have been a high school teacher or a detective. |

3. Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse, or drive a car? Why? |
It’s a tie between riding a bike and driving a car. I belonged to a cycling club when I was eight and we’d frequently go on one-day, 100-mile rides. I also raced bicycles. But, the car is a more efficient form of travel these days.! |

4. What would you do if you won the lottery? |
I would donate some of the proceeds to help underprivileged youth in Indianapolis. I would travel north to Iceland, east to Turkey, south to St. Lucia and west to Japan. I would NOT retire from IIB. No way. |

5. What three items would you take with you on a deserted island? |
Knife, raft, sunscreen |
