The project, developed by Indianapolis-based Black & White Investments, created low-income housing with high levels of energy efficiency and smart technology.
BWI says the housing complex is a first-of-its-kind, giving low and moderate individuals and families access to state-of-the-art technology.
PSH is a 44-unit apartment community designed for project-based Section 8 vouchered single parents enrolled in college or a certification program in order to break the cycle of poverty.
BWI says the program is not only about quality, affordable housing. It also offers an array of educational, life-coaching, and employment training programs.
The project is part of the state Moving Forward program launched by the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority and Energy Systems Network.
