Ivy Tech Community College has promoted Mia D. Johnson to chancellor for its Anderson campus. She most recently served as interim chancellor and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the Muncie campus. 

Johnson’s also serves as an associate professor of psychology and human services. She has been with Ivy Tech for more than 12 years. Johsnson started as a certification and assessment center associate in the testing center. She has also worked as the assistant registrar, regional registrar, human services faculty, program chair, department chair and dean.

Johnson graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 2003 and then went on to earn both her bachelors and masters’ degrees in psychology and a PhD in global leadership with a higher education concentration in 2016.
