Indy’s Rehab Medical Acquires Texas Company

Wheelchairs Plus provides rehabilitation equipment, home medical equipment, and disposable medical supplies. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Rehab Medical is very excited about this opportunity to expand into the great state of Texas,” said Rehab Medical President Kevin Gearheart. “Wheelchairs Plus has a good history of taking care of patients in San Antonio and we are proud to be able to build on the foundation they currently have in place. This is another opportunity to improve lives for Rehab Medical.”
The company says all Wheelchairs Plus sales representatives, assistive technology professionals, service technicians, and staff members will transition to the Rehab Medical team. Rehab Medical is planning to transition its Salt Lake City assistive technology employees to the Texas location to lead sales efforts.
Rehab Medical acquired Florida-based Mobility Specialists earlier this year. The company says it now has a total of 21 locations nationwide.
