A Wisconsin-based financial services technology firm is detailing plans for dozens of central Indiana layoffs. In a notice to the state, Fiserv Inc. (Nasdaq: FISV) says nearly 120 employees in Indianapolis and Plainfield will be let go in phases through the fall.

The first separations began in late June, with more coming each month through November 9.

“We are relocating production of printed materials, such as account statements, from Indianapolis and Plainfield to other print production focused locations in the U.S.,” the company said in a statement to Inside INdiana Business. “Associates who are impacted will have the opportunity to apply for other roles as well as access to outplacement services. Fiserv remains committed to our ongoing operations in Indianapolis and Plainfield.”

The layoffs are expected to be permanent. The affected employees are not represented by a union and do not have bumping rights.
