The Indiana Republican Party has hired Jake Oakman as the director of strategic communications. Oakman was most recently a special assistant to Governor Eric Holcomb, serving as main speech writer and liason on international engagement. He also served as deputy press secretary to former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. Oakman holds a degree from Indiana University.
