Governor Eric Holcomb has selected Col. R. Dale Lyles to serve as adjutant general of the Indiana National Guard. He most recently served as deputy chief of staff for operations at the National Guard Bureau in Washington, D.C. During his time in Indiana, Lyles served director of Atterbury Muscatatuck operations, commander of the 219th Engineer Brigade and commander of Muscatatuck Urban Training Center. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, a master’s degree in management from Oakland City University and a master’s degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College.
