IU Wins 2019 Citrix Innovation Award
BLOOMINGTON - Indiana University has received the 2019 Citrix Innovation Award at Citrix Synergy, a digital work conference this week in Atlanta. The university was one of three global finalists, and came out on top for its two accessibility tech projects that help students with disabilities.
IU’s virtualization software program IUanyWare AT Desktop for Accessible Applications and a virtual desktop for speech and hearing sciences each received recognition at the event. The programs make it easier for students and faculty to access the university’s programs and adds accessibility.
“Being recognized today for our innovation in delivering accessible desktops and empowering all students at IU is very meaningful for our university,” said Matt Link, IU associate vice president of research technologies, in a news release. “After all, our mission is to enable everyone—regardless of ability—to use our resources.”
The winner was chosen by popular vote and comments from a judge’s panel of IT industry professionals at the Citrix Synergy conference.
