India-based Intelenet Global Services has announced expansion plans at its Fort Wayne call center. The outsourcing and solutions company says it is doubling the size of its facility and looking to hire 500 additional workers.

Intelenet did not provide an investment figure for the expansion, which will bring the call center to 38,000 square feet. The growth effort, the company says, is due to an increase in customer demand.

"Our decision to significantly expand the Fort Wayne delivery center reinforces our continuous commitment to contribute to the economic growth of the city and the state of Indiana," said Vijay Reddy, chief operating officer for Intelenet. "This facility has played a key role in our operations since it was opened in 2014. We envision that both Intelenet and the city of Fort Wayne will benefit greatly as we work closely together to continue to make this facility a shining example of an ongoing and highly productive partnership. We’re really happy with the quality of employees we’ve been able to hire here."

Reddy says Intelenet's strategic plan is to eventually have between 1,200 and 1,500 employees in Fort Wayne. The company says those interested in applying for one of the open positions can find more information at its website.

Intelenet offers a variety of business services, such as financial and accounting, travel, logistics and hospitality, healthcare records and document management, human resources, and order-taking and fulfillment.
