The Columbia Club has hired master chef Simon Gosling as executive chef. He joins the club from Scotland with more than 30 years of culinary experience. Gosling was named a Master Chef of Great Britain by a panel of 12 master chef peers. He has received two Chef Competition titles and elevated the ranking of the restaurants under his tenure, including Marcliffe at Pitfolds in Scotland, which was awarded a five star rating and the Milton of Crathes Restaurant which was named Restaurant of the Year in 2007. Gosling was also a senior lecturer at the Nick Nairn Cook. He is trained in French modern cuisine with an emphasis on seafood and local beef.
