Indianapolis-based SmartFile has hired Don Scifres to serve in the newly-created role of president. He is co-founder and managing partner of VisionTech Partners in Indianapolis. Scifres will begin his new role July 5. He will be responsible for leading the operations, product development, services and finance divisions for the company. John Hurley will continue his role as chief executive officer and will focus on sales, marketing and company culture. Scifres will continue as a general partner with VisionTech.
