Kate Swanson says her plans include helping to create an environment "where even more people come here to start and build companies."
Swanson, who has recently put her focus on being a stay-at-home mom, previously worked in fundraising capacities for community leaders and on several political campaigns. Her work experience also includes time with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
zWORKS Board President Dan Moyers says Swanson is a "proven grower/builder," who has an understanding of and commitment to the Boone County town. He says "Kate really gets zWORKS’ mission and vision. She’s embracing her responsibility to speed our growth in all areas which include continuing to increase our membership, adding new corporate and community partnerships, and expanding our programming and resources. Her personality and energy are infectious, which everyone who is currently a part of the zWORKS community will see, as will prospective new members, and corporate and community partners."
Businesses that have graduated from zWORKS include Clear Software, WorkHere and Boosterville. You can read more about the nonprofit center founded in 2015 by clicking here.
