Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller has announced he will run for Congress. He will be among a number of candidates vying to replace Todd Young (R-9), who is running for the United States Senate seat currently held by Dan Coats (R-IN).
Young is seeking to succeed Coats, who is not running for re-election.
Zoeller says, if elected, he will fight to "rein-in federal overreach." He is currently in his second term after being sworn in as the state's 42nd attorney general in 2009. He previously served as deputy attorney general from 2001 through 2008.
Zoeller's federal experience includes 10 years as an executive assistant with Senator, then Vice President Dan Quayle.
