INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) has created the position of vice president for advancement and tabbed its current vice president for communications to fill the position.
Effective today Glenn Augustine is appointed to the newly created position. The vice president for advancement will lead IYI’s fundraising, marketing and media relations efforts. In his previous role as vice president for communications, Augustine was responsible for IYI’s marketing and media relations functions.
“Consolidating marketing, fundraising and media relations into this new senior staff position strengthens IYI's unique ability to promote healthy youth development in the Hoosier State,” said IYI's President and CEO Bill Stanczykiewicz. “Glenn Augustine's sharp professional skills and remarkable leadership abilities have made a significant impact on IYI's growth and success during the last six years, and our potential to reach new levels of achievement increases with Glenn in this new leadership position.”
Augustine said he is excited about the opportunity to lead IYI’s advancement team.
“IYI has a great foundation in place, with a talented team of colleagues and an excellent fund development plan to guide our work in furthering IYI’s mission,” Augustine said. “I look forward to the opportunities our newly formed team will create for IYI, as well as for the youth workers and youth-serving agencies we serve across Indiana.”
Augustine joined IYI in 2006. Prior to that, he worked for five years in the Office of Marketing and Communications at Ball State University and spent 13 years in television news with stops in St. Louis; Terre Haute, Indiana; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Indianapolis. During stints at WTWO (Terre Haute) and WTVC (Chattanooga), Augustine earned several awards for his reporting and was nominated for an Emmy award during his time at WISH (Indianapolis).
Augustine and his wife, Stacey, live in Indianapolis and have four children. He is a 1988 graduate of Indiana University with a degree in journalism.
The Indiana Youth Institute promotes the healthy development of Indiana children and youth by serving the people, institutions and communities that impact their well-being.
