Two dozen individuals and employers will be recognized Tuesday at the 2015 WorkOne Achievement Awards ceremony. The event will honor those who use the state programs for education, training and job creation purposes. April 17, 2015

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) and its WorkOne Centers will honor WorkOne clients and employers from throughout the state at the 2015 WorkOne Achievement Awards ceremony. This event will recognize 12 individuals for their dedication to improving their lives through WorkOne education, training and employment services, and personal sacrifice, as well as 12 Indiana employers who have created jobs and personal advancement opportunities for Hoosier workers utilizing WorkOne services and programs.

The awards ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, in the South Atrium of the Statehouse in Indianapolis. The event is open to the media and public. The Master of Ceremonies will be Local Talk Show Host Abdul-Hakim Shabazz. DWD Commissioner Steven J. Braun will be on hand to present the awards. Other distinguished guests, including local elected officials, state legislators and statewide office-holders will be in attendance to recognize recipients.
