Worker Compensation Rate to Remain Unchanged

The Indiana Department of Insurance says there will no change to worker’s compensation rates in 2022.  The state compensation program covers medical costs associated with workplace injuries and provides wage replacement benefits to injured workers for lost work time.  

The state says Commissioner Amy Beard recently approved an average 0% change for the rates effective January 1. Indiana has one of the lowest compensation rates in the U.S., according to the Indiana Department of Insurance.
