The Daily Reporter in Greenfield reports the project will transform a green space in the Hancock County city into a new city park that will include outdoor performance space.
Zionsville-based RLTurner Construction received the contract for the project. The new park will include an outdoor stage and art plaza on the east side, another plaza with outdoor seating on the south side, and a concrete walkway next to the Pennsy Trail, according to the publication.
The park will also feature interactive art displays, sway benches and bike racks.
The project is being done with funds from the Stellar Communities designation. Greenfield is one of the communities included in the Health and Heritage Region, which received the designation in 2018.
Construction on the project is expected to be complete by July of next year. You can read the full story from the Daily Reporter by clicking here.
