Woodruff Business Park Deemed Fiber-Ready

A business park in Michigan City has been certified AT&T Fiber Ready. Woodruff Business Park is the first in LaPorte County to receive the designation for its high-speed Internet connectivity.
Officials say the designation will help boost economic development and job creation in the area. The 100-acre Woodruff Business Park was developed in 1999 and AT&T says the park has several shovel-ready sites available.
"In a world economy that is changing so quickly, having a strong technology infrastructure in place is a necessity," said Indiana House Minority Leader Scott Pelath (D-9). "Today’s announcement will make sure that the Woodruff Business Park is even more attractive to those people looking for a top-tier spot to create or boost their businesses."
Heather Ennis, chief executive officer of Northeast Indiana Forum says the designation adds to the "already tremendous workforce and education assets" of the city and region. Earlier this year, La Porte-based LEFCO CPS Inc. announced plans to relocate to Woodruff Business Park.
