The Indianapolis chapter of Women in Transportation has named Anna Gremling its Woman of the Year. She serves as executive director of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization, where she oversees a 13-person planning team with experience in urban issues, data collection and analysis and technical support. Gremlin has served the organization since 2012, previously working as a principal planner.

Before joining the MPO, Gremling served as manager at the Schneider Corp. She began her career as a transportation planner with the Grand Valley Metro Council in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Gremling earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in public administration at Grand Valley State University.
