WISH-TV, the Indianapolis CW affiliate, has announced new Daybreak anchor roles for Kylie Conway (pictured), Drew Blair (pictured) and Brenna Donnelly.

Conway joins Scott Sander as lead co-anchor, for News 8’s Daybreak, a newscast she has served as a co-anchor on for the last three years. During that time, she has played a major role in growing WISH-TV’s eight-hour, “All Local, All Morning,” weekday news block. A Hoosier native and award-winning journalist, Conway began her broadcast career as an intern at WISH-TV, before graduating from Indiana University’s Ernie Pyle School of Journalism, with a BA in Broadcast Journalism. She worked in Hopkinsville, Kentucky; Toledo, Ohio; Dayton, Ohio and Salt Lake City, Utah prior to joining WISH-TV five years ago. Conway is currently on maternity leave with her second son. She will return to the anchor desk and her new role in early January.

Blair has been filling in for Conway during her leave, and will remain on Daybreak in her new role, as a third anchor for the weekday newscast. She has anchored Daybreak’s weekend newscasts for the last five years. Blair started at the station as a general assignment reporter five years ago. Before joining News 8, she worked for six years at WANE-TV, in Fort Wayne. Blair was born and raised in Indianapolis. She graduated from Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School, and went on to earn her degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University.

Also, Donnelly has been named News 8’s weekend Daybreak anchor. Her broadcast career started while still in high school, producing and anchoring the morning announcements. After graduating from Brigham Young University, Donnelly landed her first job with BYU-TV. She then went on to work at stations in Wichita Falls, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; Salt Lake City, Utah and the Fox News Channel, in New York City.

These changes come as Lauren Lowrey, who is away on maternity leave, announced she is leaving the station after seven years. Lowrey accepted an anchoring job at WSMV, the NBC affiliate in Nashville, Tennessee.
