Wintek Set to Cut Ribbon on Data Center

As a subscriber you can listen to articles at work, in the car, or while you work out. Subscribe NowLafayette-based Wintek Corp. will cut the ribbon Friday on its $5 million data center. The company says it is the only privately-owned, publicly-available facility of its kind in northwest Indiana.
Officials broke ground on the 7,200 square-foot facility nearly one year ago. Wintek says the data center will give companies throughout Indiana and the Midwest "secure, enterprise class colocation."
"The data center project is the single largest project that Wintek has taken on and invested in since the company was created," said Travis Bailey, chief executive officer of Wintek. “Our ongoing commitment to our local partnerships or support from the same allow us to strengthen our commitment to Lafayette and the surrounding area."
Wintek says the facility was built to accommodate not only current customers, but future customers as well. The data center has the ability to add service as needed without disruption to current customers.
