The Indianapolis Arts Center has chosen long-time board member Mark Williams as the nonprofit’s new executive director. Williams has served on the board since 2008, and chaired the board from 2013-2015 and is currently an emeritus board member.

“As a board, we’ve been exploring some very exciting plans for the Art Center. We developed and approved a new strategic plan in 2019 and I’m eager to see that through. I’ve always believed in the power of art, creativity and self-expression to transform individuals and communities, and I’m excited about this new opportunity.”

He will step away from imagenation, his marketing and branding firm he launched in 1996, to serve as executive director. Williams holds a degree from Butler University.
