Whitley Manufacturing has announced the acquisition of New York-based residential building manufacturer Capsys Corp. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The acquisition adds to Whitley’s portfolio, which includes production facilities in Rochester and South Whitley in Indiana, as well as Washington and Pennsylvania. Whitley designs and builds specialized modular buildings.
"Capsys has an excellent reputation in the New York City region for innovative, quality construction, and service. All of that will help our company to become a strong force in the biggest construction market in America," according to Whitley Owner Simon Dragan. "The combination of our portfolios will allow us to satisfy a much broader range of commercial and residential construction needs not only in New York City, but along the eastern seaboard, as well."
Whitley says Capsys specializes in multi-story apartment buildings, assisted living facilities, townhouses, hotels and dormitories, as well multi-family facilities. The company did not say if any jobs were affected by the acquisition.
