The opening parade kicks off Friday night and the event will run through Sunday. Nearly 90 food vendors are expected to participate, including more than 20 selling the wacky event’s signature dish.
This year’s edition will also feature an expanded arts and crafts section, beer and wine gardens, larger kids area and entertainment on six stages. The South Shore Convention and Visitors Association says vendors from states including Indiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Tennessee and Florida will take part in the 2017 Pierogi Fest.
