White Lodging promotes Anderson to COO

Merrillville-based hotel and hospitality company White Lodging Services Corp. has promoted one of its executives to the role of chief operating officer.
Chris Anderson also will hold the title of executive vice president, the company said. He had been executive vice president and chief commercial officer, whose responsibilities included food and beverage, business strategy and communication, marketing, sales, and revenue management.
White Lodging also announced that White Lodging Regional Vice President Joe Pagone has been promoted to senior vice president of operations.
“Chris and Joe have a unique balance of top- and bottom-line expertise that combined will create a powerful duo to drive dynamic decision making and nimble strategy execution,” White Lodging CEO Jean-Luc Barone said. “These changes reflect our commitment to continually develop our people at all levels and position us well to navigate today’s hospitality industry where internal and external factors are constantly changing the business environment.”
Anderson joined White Lodging in 2015. He had spent seven years with Marcus Hotels & Resorts and 15 years with Marriott International. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri and in 2018 was awarded the Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds in marketing from Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International.
Pagone joined White Lodging in 2022. He had spent 14 years with Kimpton Hotels. He earned a bachelor’s degree in hospitality from Eastern Illinois University.
White Lodging owns and operates about 60 hotels, as well as restaurants, bars and luxury ranches. White Lodging properties are in a number of U.S. cities, including Austin, Texas; Chicago; Denver; Nashville, Tennessee; and Indianapolis. The JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis is a White Lodging hotel.
