A national list that recognizes companies for being good corporate citizens includes multiple Indiana firms.
The Atlanta-based nonprofit Points of Light recently put out its annual Civic 50 list that showcases companies that “use their time, skills and other resources to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business.”
This year Evansville-based Old National Bank and Indianapolis-based Elevance Health made the list. Both companies also earned Points of Light’s recognition last year.
“Our team members love rolling up their sleeves and making a difference in their communities, as evidenced by the more than 67,000 collective volunteer hours they logged in 2024,” Old National CEO Jim Ryan said in a news release. “Old National is honored to again be recognized by Points of Light as an organization that truly puts our values into action.”
The recognition is based on employee volunteering, community investment, corporate citizenship and social impact programs. The companies are selected based on an annual survey. The list is not a ranking.
Subaru of America Inc. and Caesars Entertainment also made the Civic 50 list. Both those companies are based elsewhere, but have significant presences in Indiana.
