Wheaton Van Lines Acquires Michigan Company

Indianapolis-based Wheaton Van Lines Inc. is adding to its portfolio. The company has announced plans to acquire Stevens Worldwide Van lines in Michigan, though financial details were not released.
Wheaton says the deal will immediately expand the capacity and capabilities of the four brands under its umbrella, which now includes Stevens. Stevens’ three local agencies will continue to be agents of the Stevens Worldwide Van Lines brand in Michigan, as well as Toledo and Cleveland, Ohio.
"Stevens and the agents in the Stevens network are a stellar fit for our growing company," said Mark Kirschner, chief executive officer of Wheaton Van Lines. "It’s clear that our philosophies align and that we both see this as an opportunity to bring more to our drivers, agents and customers."
Stevens Van Lines CEO Morrie Stevens says the partnership is a "huge opportunity" for everyone involved. He says joining with Wheaton will give all drivers and agents in the Stevens network more opportunities for growth.
This is the third acquisition for Wheaton since 2012.
