WGU Partners with ISC Sports Network

WGU Indiana will be the presenting sponsor of all Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference broadcasts on the ISC Sports Network. The partnership with ISC Sports Network includes 40 broadcasts of high school games between now and March 2020.
The broadcasts include MIC football, boys and girls basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball and softball. The MIC consists of central Indiana Class 6-A high schools Warren Central, Center Grove, North Central, Pike, Lawrence Central, Lawrence North, Ben Davis and Carmel.
Comcast has also partnered with the ISC Sports Network for 12 of the network’s 13 football broadcasts and MIC football games will air on Comcast’s local channel 81 in addition to WNDY-23.
“As a not-for-profit university, we are strategic and careful in determining where to focus our outreach resources,” said Alison Bell, WGU Indiana Chancellor in a news release. “We look for unique ways to increase awareness and understanding of the powerful opportunity that WGU Indiana is for Hoosiers by forming partnerships that allow us to tell our story. High school sports are a large part of this state’s identity and the MIC is a closely followed athletic conference. With WGU Indiana at the focal point of each of the ISC Sports Network’s MIC broadcasts, this partnership provides us with a new platform to reach viewers on a weekly basis in central Indiana in a way we never have before.”
