Westfield Washington Schools has announced a series of administrative changes designed to enhance curriculum and instruction and provide additional efficiencies in district operations. Nick Verhoff, director of business & operations, has announced his retirement. He has worked for the school district for 18 years, and has agreed to stay on as his team transitions.

Joe Montalone (pictured), principal of Maple Glen Elementary in Westfield, has been named director of operations for the district. In this new role, he will oversee district operations including facilities, building projects, nutrition services, transportation and energy. Montalone has worked for the district for 13 years.

Carrie Alday (pictured) has been named director of elementary curriculum, instruction and talent development for Westfield Washington Schools. She comes to WWS from Auburn, Indiana’s McKenney-Harrison Elementary School where she served as principal.

Larry Johnson has been named assistant director of transportation for the district. He most recently served Kokomo School Corp.

Westfield Washington Schools is currently accepting resumes for a chief financial officer, as well as principal of Maple Glen Elementary School.
