Sixty-six cafeteria workers at Westfield-Washington Schools have lost their jobs as a contract with food service provider Sodexo Inc. expires.
In a notice to the state, the company says effective July 1, the school district will no longer use Sodexo to perform food services.
The Maryland-based food service company says a five-year contract had run its course. According to the notice, Arizona-based Southwest Food Service Excellence will take over food services at the school corporation.
Inside INdiana Business has reached out to SFE to see if it will be rehiring the Westfield workers. We have not heard back.
