Richard Miles has been named general manager of Purdue University’s public radio station WBAA. With 29 years of experience in public radio management, he previously served as chair of Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations and held various senior positions as vice president of interactive media and content strategy and vice president of audio services and TV programming at WFYI Indianapolis.

Miles also has a background in higher education, having worked for the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunication System at Indiana University and public radio stations at his alma mater, Butler University, where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in radio and television. He has worked with the College of Engineering on public radio specials in 2009 and 2010, as well as on a recent collaborative project between WBAA and WFYI.
