FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Wayne Pipe & Supply, Inc. announces that the company has hired a new president and chief executive officer, Anthony (Tony) Tranquill.
With 25 years' experience in manufacturing and customer service, Tony brings a wealth of expertise to the position, including the know-how to manage and run all aspects of manufacturing companies ranging in size from $1 million to $40 million. For the last 18 years, he has worked with wholesale/distribution, residential, industrial and commercial combustion products.
Tony has led organizations to consistently exceed company growth initiatives through management by objectives, accountability and leadership by example. He has succeeded in growing multiple companies in diverse industries through product innovation, focused quality execution and strategic partnerships with customers and suppliers.
In addition, he takes great pride in being a servant leader for company, employees and customers, and is excited about heading the Wayne Pipe & Supply team. “I will be listening and learning in the coming months, but from what I've discovered so far, there is much to celebrate at Wayne Pipe & Supply. I'm blessed to be a part of this company,” Tony said.
Tony graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in industrial and systems engineering. He enjoys running, weight lifting, coaching, fishing, skiing and gardening. Tony and his family have lived in Fort Wayne since 2007 and remains a diehard Auburn Tigers fan.
Wayne Pipe & Supply, Inc. is a wholesale distributor of pipe, valves, fittings and plumbing supplies to commercial contractors and manufacturers. The company’s Kitchen & Bath Works showroom features working fixtures for retail customers and contractors to explore the latest designs in a variety of price ranges from industry leaders, including American Standard, Toto, Gerber, Brizo, Delta, Maax, Stone Forest and Moen. Headquartered at 6040 Innovation Blvd. in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the company was founded in 1896 in downtown Fort Wayne.
