WATCH: New Innovation Czar Eyes Next Big Thing
The state’s newly-named chief innovation officer sat down for an interview with Gerry Dick on this weekend’s edition of Inside INdiana Business Television. Ian Steff, whose primary responsibility will be managing the $1 billion entrepreneurship and innovation initiative announced last month by Governor Mike Pence, says the private sector will be key to making things happen. "It will absolutely determine success of this initiative," said Steff. "Industry has to be driving this train."
For the past two years, Steff has been a senior science and technology advisor to the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. He previously served as vice president of global policy and technology partnerships at the Semiconductor Industry Association in Washington, DC.
