Warren County Site Certified ‘Prime’

An 80-acre business park in Warren County has received the highest level of site certification in the state. Bowman Business Park in Pine Village was certified "prime," which means building approvals can be fast-tracked.

The certification is given by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs. Certification requirements include utilities to the property line, environmental assessment, proximity to a state highway, a geo-tech study and involvement of the local economic development organization, among others. 

Bowman Business Park is located in Pine Village, about six miles from U.S. 41 and about 20 minutes from the campus of Purdue University.

"We are targeting ag bioscience firms, seeing that as a great match for the site and our workforce," said Steve Eberly, director of Warren County Economic Development."It’s an ideal site, too, because of its proximity to Purdue University, where scientific and technological breakthroughs are happening, and startup companies often forming."

The business park was developed by brothers Darrin and Ryan Bowman, whose family has owned the property since 1973. Darrin Bowman says their goal is to create opportunity for Warren County and to see industrial and employment growth.
