Gordon Becher has been appointed fire chief at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Carlisle. He most recently served as a deputy fire marshal for the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office. Becher was also a member of the Vincennes City Fire Department where he served the citizens of Vincennes for 27 years before retiring as chief. Prior to that he served 5 years on the Vincennes Township Fire Department as squad captain. Becher was also a 3-time duly elected coroner for Knox County and still serves as a deputy coroner. He also serves as a member of the board of directors for the Indiana State Coroners Association.
