Wabash Updates Downtown Marketing Brand
The nonprofit that markets and showcases downtown businesses and amenities in Wabash has rebranded. The organization is now Downtown Wabash Inc., after operating as Wabash Marketplace Inc. for 40 years.
In addition to the name change, the organization is changing its mission to go beyond historic preservation of downtown buildings and community revitalization. The district will also focus on arts, culture and small business support alongside the recently designated Wabash Cultural District.
“My team is absolutely thrilled to see this established organization start anew in 2022 with a new identity, which clarifies our mission for the public,” said Executive Director Andrea Zwiebel. “Downtown Wabash is more than a micropolitan destination with 10,000-50,000 residents. It’s also a brand, which stands for fostering community and economic development in a beautiful, prosperous downtown for all.”
The organization says it will plan and execute 55 events throughout the year, including a farmers’ market events, downtown shopping campaigns, and the downtown’s annual holiday kick-off event.
