Wabash Names Dean For Professional Development

Subscribe NowWabash College has appointed Steven Jones dean for professional development and director of the Malcolm X Institute of Black Studies. The 1987 Wabash graduate previously served as MXIBS chairman. He comes to Wabash from Indiana University Health, where he has worked for 23 years. Jones most recently held the position of vice president of the Adult Academic Health Center. Prior to IU Health he worked with Methodist Hospital, the State Personnel Department, the Indiana Department of Transportation and the Indianapolis Star and News. Before starting his career Jones majored in economics with an area concentration in African American Studies at Wabash. In his new role he will oversee the activities of Malcolm X Institute as well as the Schroeder Center for Career Development, the Center for Innovation, Business, and Entrepreneurship and the Wabash Internships and Student Employment program. Jones will begin his role as dean in early September.
