Chris Gray, who has served as dean and assistant vice president of VUJC since August 2015, will step down in January to become vice president for academic and student affairs at McHenry County College in Illinois.
Gray joined the VUJC after serving as dean of arts and communication at Illinois Central College.
"Dr. Gray has given positive, energetic leadership to the Jasper campus since his appointment, especially as the University has worked to enhance service to students and academic opportunities in Career Tech fields at the Jasper campus," said VU Interim Provost Laurel Smith. "We wish Chris well as he pursues this new opportunity in higher education leadership."
Smith says a search for Gray’s successor will begin soon with plans expected to be announced before the end of the fall semester.
