During his tenure, the foundation’s funds have grown from $23 million to $32 million and more than 280 new scholarships and department funds have been established, according to VU. Chuck Johnson, president of Vincennes University, says Hostetler has "show tremendous dedication to the mission of VU and to the important role of the VU Foundation."
"The proudest accomplishment is the relationships that our staff and board have built with donors, alumni, and friends of VU to meet the needs of the University and its students," said Hostetler. "The manner in which these people have positively responded to help the Foundation has had significant impacts now and for in the future. It has been an honor and a pleasure to work with the dedicated Foundation staff, our volunteer Board of Directors and the many caring donors and alumni I’ve had the joy of working with over more than 11 years."
Hostetler’s role at the foundation will be filled on an interim basis by Kristi Deetz, who currently serves as senior director of external relations for the university. A search for a permanent successor is expected to begin in the coming weeks.
