NEW ALBANY, Ind. - Iowa-based VT Industries Inc. has announced it is closing its plant in New Albany. In a notice to the state, the company says the closure will result in the layoffs of 120 employees.

The wood window and door manufacturer did not state a reason for the closure. The company says the layoffs are expected to begin in late September or early October and be complete by the end of October.

VT Industries says all employees have been notified of the closure. The majority of the employees affected by the closure are production workers at the facility.
