Volleyball Tourney to Have Big Impact on Indy

Subscribe NowA major national volleyball tournament is expected to generate a $25 million economic impact in Indianapolis this weekend. The Capitol Sports Volleyball NIKE Mideast Qualifier will bring 35,000 players, parents and coaches to the downtown area.
The tournament will be held at the Indiana Convention Center during the three-day period. Around 900 teams of girls ages 14 to 18 will participate in the tournament. Visit Indy says the amount of visitors coming to the tournament will result in 25,000 hotel room nights.
