A new attraction honoring a legendary Hoosier comedian has released early attendance numbers. The Vincennes Sun-Commercial reports the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy on the Vincennes University campus has pulled in 1,000 in its first three weeks. It is located on the campus of Vincennes University and features more than $4.5 million worth of memorabilia.

The museum opening coincided with the 100th anniversary of Skelton's birth.

He was also a prolific artist and visitors can take in 200 of his original works.
